Quilt Scrap Flowers

6-quilt scrap flowersHappy May Day!!!!

I actually made these flowers about a month ago in anticipation of warmer weather, green lawns and spring.

Don’t throw out those small cutter quilt scraps left over from previous projects. There is always something that can be made from these unique pieces.

5-quilt scrap flowersKeeping with the rustic country charm of their construction, I used rusty barbed wire for the stems.

  1. I always despise throwing out scraps – this is an adorable idea to save every little bit of a quilt.

  2. I found you today from Sew Many Ways, and I am so glad I did. I love surfing through your blog, and have had a blast for the entire afternoon. Thank you! One question could you put up a template for your scrap flowers? I cannot draw and straight line crooked for nothing. : ) And possibly a tutorial on how you did them? They are beautiful and I am smitten over them. Thanks again for sharing!
