Metal Stamping Projects-Tutorials
Whew! It’s been a bit since I last posted. I’m still here, I’ve just been working on articles for Love To Know and projects I sell locally. Sometimes I get into the flow of things and forget to take pics…
…and sometimes I forget I have the pics after I have written tutorial for others sites…
…and then I wake up and share!
I had a lot of fun coming up with these projects for metal stamping. Years ago my dad had given me a basic metal stamping kit. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what I would ever do with it. Turns out it was a blast to play with. These projects would be great for craft shows.
Stamped Belt Cuff
These cuffs were made using old belts for the base.
Votive Candle Sleeve
Believe it or not, the metal I used for this candle sleeve was actually an aluminum oven liner.
Lucky Penny Key Ring
Stamping coins was “harder” than I thought it would be, but practicing only cost me pennies. 😉

Bulky Fingerless Gloves Pattern
Wow! Social media has blown up this week. It seems to be snowing everywhere! Staying warm is a top priority.
So far we have lucked out in our neck of the woods, but we have had cold spells. Here is my contribution to keeping y’all warm while snuggled on the couch watching movies.

Crocheted Sunflower Pattern
You probably think none of the things listed in the title go together, but welcome to my world. 😉
A few months ago I posted finished sunflower appliques in my Etsy shop, but I never shared the pattern. It’s summertime and we are quickly sliding into fall so I thought I should get that pattern done.
It’s quick and easy. I hope you enjoy it. You can find the pattern here.
Outdoor concerts and tomatoes are other summertime favorites. Well, at least for me, and at least for this last weekend.
This past weekend was my anniversary and thanks to my hubby and Middle Kid I was surprised with a Sara Evans Concert. I was given very few details on where we were going. I kinda figured it was a concert, but I was thinking on a much smaller scale. We love a certain local artist and try to see her where ever she is playing. She is who I thought we were going to see. I was a little confused when we ended up at 7 Clans Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma, but the billboard said it all. I know it is hard to see in the photo, but trust me, it’s Sara Evans. It was outside and it was wonderful!
Please excuse my terrible photos. None of them came out great, especially the ones after dark because I took them with my phone.
The concert was on Saturday, but our anniversary was actually on Sunday. Kinda hard to do better than the concert so we decided to spend a quiet day at home and cook a special dinner that night.
So what’s up with the tomato? This year we have the smallest garden we have ever had, but it is producing like crazy. We picked this huge tomato on Sunday. I think it’s the biggest tomato we have ever grown so we had to get the scale out to weigh it.
It weighed just shy of 1 1/2 pounds and was 5 inches wide. Isn’t it pretty?
