I spy with my little eye scrap quilt patterns.
If you’re like me and you sew, you probably have a giant stash of scrap fabrics. You know, those pieces that are too cute to throw out, but too small to make anything. Well, you would be wrong about not being able to make something from these scrappy gems. Stitched together, they make beautiful designs and are perfect for making scrap quilts.
Scrap Strip Quilt
This Scrap Strip Quilt is one that I made as a throw for the couch. You could, of course, make it larger or smaller.
Scrap “I Spy” Quilt
If you stitch for little kids, you probably have an abundance of novelty prints for children. This I Spy Quilt is a great project for those fun graphics. I cut each square in the quilt from a different fabric.
Hang the quilt as wall art or make it into a game. Write the image for each square on a note card and keep your kids busy for hours as they hunt down the matches.
