The cowboy boots I used for this project were boots I have had since I was a teenager. (gasp) Yes, I have had them a looong time. They look pretty good after all these years, but that is because this particular pair never got much use as they always left my feet in agony. I really don’t know why I hung onto them (it’s not like they were ever going to feel any better), but I am certainly glad I did.
After removing all of the newspaper, except for the bundles in the toes, I added floral bricks to each leg. I chose sunflowers, daisies and a few different dried flowers to create my arrangement, but any flowers that say summer to you will work.
To keep the shape of the bouquet and to hold the boots together I wrapped sinamay ribbon around the pair and tied it in a large bow. The ribbon looked kinda lonely so I made a burlap/lace bow and wired it to the center of the sinamay bow.
