Here’s another scrap wood Christmas project using scraps of 4×4 posts. I made them in red, green and white, but you could make them in any color that says “Christmas” to you.
Things You Will Need:
4×4 post scraps
Red, green and white acrylic paint
Pine branch pieces and red pip berries
Hot glue gun
What To Do:
Cut 6″ length from a 4×4 wood post scrap. Lightly sand the cut edges.
Dry brush one end (top) and each long side using either red, green or white acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry.
Rip strips from your scrap fabric 1″ x 20″ and 1″ x 36″.
Starting with the shorter fabric strip, hot glue one end to the center top of the block. Wrap the strip down a side, across the bottom and up the opposite side. Overlap the fabric ends and hot glue to the top center. Trim away excess from the end if needed.
Find the center of the longer fabric strip. Hot glue the center to the bottom of the gift block, crossing the previous strip. Bring the ends up the remaining sides. Tie the ends in a bow. Trim the bow ends.
Cut a 3 1/2″ length from a wired pin branch. Slip the branch under the bow. Shift the bow slightly and staple the branch to secure. Adjust the bow to cover the staple.
Hot glue clusters of red pip berries above and below the fabric bow.
That’s it! It doesn’t get any easier than that!
